Maintenance effectiveness is a major component of the operational profitability of most industrial projects. Plant availability is obviously critical to revenue generation. Achieving very high levels of availability at optimal cost is the essence of maintenance effectiveness. Maintenance Effectiveness is a key element of the “Operate and Optimize” stage of a classic Stage Gate Process.

There are essentially two levers to developing the most effective maintenance result. The first is a Risk Based methodology which determines the appropriate Preventive, Predictive and Shutdown schedules of maintenance activity. The second is the effectiveness of the Owner’s planning and management organisation, and the nature of the contracts placed with the companies responsible for undertaking the work.

INDECO has considerable experience working with Owner organisations in both of the above areas and a proven track record in delivering significant bottom line benefits from the improvement of maintenance activity across Europe.
